Expression begins with the all valve Origin series. It delivers two inbuilt voices, a new tilt control, PowerstemTM our new power reduction technology and forms the perfect marriage with FX pedals. The classically styled single channel amps generate rich and harmonic tones that are ideal for players to explore new possibilities and craft their sound. There is a 2-way footswitch available so you can control the gain boost and turn the FX loop on and off. The series has something for those playing in the bedroom, at rehearsal or on the stage.
This 20w combo is designed for those that like expression through innovation. Using aPre-Loved Celestion V type speaker the Origin20C provides a classic all-valve Marshall tone. A 2-way footswitch allows you to control the gain boost and turn the FX loop on and off. With classic styling and modern features this amp generates rich, harmonic tones so that you can craft a sound to suit your personality.
Using the footswitchable gain boost feature you can add that extra level of gain to generate a more overdriven tone and while the Origin20C may only have one channel but don’t underestimate it. By using the tilt control you can vary your sound from normal to high treble- all the to the left is warm and full whilst all the way to the right is bright, more cutting tone.
Marshall's new power reducing technology, PowerstemTM, allows you to have high, medium or low power modes to suit your environment, from playing small venues to playing in your bedroom. PowerstemTM works by reducing the voltage rails around the power amplifier rather than using our traditional pentode/triode reduction methods. This offers power reduction s without changing the sonic character and so provides optimum tone and performance regardless of the volume level required by guitarists. This allows you to play at lower volumes, while still maintaining the sought after characteristics of playing a valve amplifier at higher outputs. Couple this with use of the 'presence' control, which increases the high frequency content and you have the ability to create great tones and any volume level.
