Up for sale, a 2013 Fender American Vintage '64 Jazz Bass in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original blonde G&G Deluxe hardshell case. An example of the uncommon second generation of the AVRI Jazz Bass platform released in '12, retooled to be even more vintage accurate than its predecessors, the later American Vintage series Jazz Basses were a relatively short lived offering from Fender before the line was officially retired.

Boasting a 3 Colour Sunburst gloss nitro lacquer finish, this bass looks and sounds the part of the genuine vintage article. The tone is equal parts low end warmth and midrange cut, with the smooth growl and upper midrange burp of the bridge pickup blending well with the fullness and thump of the neck position single coil. Combined, the two pickups produce an array of sounds appropriate for virtually any live or recording situation. 

The maple neck has a slender U-shaped profile carve with round shoulders in every register and lightly rolled fretboard edges, measuring .805" deep at the 1st fret and .999" at the 12th. The rosewood fretboard sports aged clay dot inlay, and the slender fretwire is flawless. The neck is straight, the truss rod is responsive and optimally adjusted, and the bass cleanly up the 34" scale. The nut measures 1 1/2", and on the headstock, the nickel-plated vintage spec reverse gear tuning machines turn very smoothly and hold pitch well.

The original G&G Deluxe blonde tolex hardshell case is included.
